33,904 dedicated feet marched 3.1 awe-inspiring miles as the giant mass flooded the streets of downtown Salt Lake in the boldest pink hue. Each individual wearing their brave and painful struggle on their backs. Some running for loved ones, others running for themselves.
All running with one purpose: to find a cure for breast cancer.
I cannot think of a better way to spend Mother's Day with Mom, Grandma, and Sar racing by my side as tears of inspiration and awe filled our eyes. It was amazing to see and hear the powerful message of love and hope each survivor carries with them as they exude the most powerful aura of strength, willpower, and the idea that, "YES, you CAN." You can be anything, do anything, and fight through anything when you see every obsticle as an OPPORTUNITY.
What a motivation to fight for our life and make the best out of each day we are blessed with.
We all have obstacles placed in our pathway in life. It is our mission not to ask why...but to ask HOW we can overcome it--how we can gain strength and power from the opposition we face because Yes, Yes we CAN!
"A man only begins to be a man when he ceases to whine and revile, and commences to search for the hidden justice which regulates his life…as he adapts his mind to that regulating factor, he ceases to accuse others as the cause of his condition, and builds himself up in strong and noble thoughts; ceases to kick against circumstances, but begins to use them as aids to his more rapid progress, and as a means of discovering the hidden powers and possibilities within himself." (As a Man Thinketh)
