Welcome 2012!

We are enjoying the beautifully mild winter here in Minnesota. I guess the Lord was preparing us this year!

It was funny because my friend Melinda and I went running one day in 4 degree weather--with windchill it was probably zero or just below. I told her how it really didn't feel all that cold (however, we were decked out head to toe in our warm gear with 4 layers).

We survived and actually ended up sweating and taking off a couple of layers. As Gram Lu says, "Cold is just cold, I guess!" I think she's right...it just reaches a point where it's just really cold and we have to remember as long as every inch of us is covered...we're good!

We have been tubing, to the indoor dome to walk with our friend Kara, house hunting, and enjoying a new game called Dominion when Alyse is sleeping. (Thank you for the wonderful Christmas gift, Dan and Janet!)

Alyse is walking totally on her own now, as of last week. She was walking all the halls at church last week and loves chasing the other little kids. She only wishes she was a little faster so she could keep up. And she wishes mom would let her run around without any pants because they slow her down! :)

Peter taught a wonderful lesson in Sunday School about Lehi's dream and shared my silly dreams, which always end with "WHO'S THERE!?!?" He is enjoying his new calling in Elders Quorum as the second counselor.

I am loving the Beehives still! We have a special Valentine's Spa Night planned for them tomorrow. I am really getting to know them and finally feel very comfortable teaching! YAY! :) (I guess that's what happens when you teach every week for nearly a year!)

We are excited to hear the news about a house we put an offer on in October. We should hear this week or early next week if we got it. It will be another new adventure!

We love you all and miss you very much!

xoxo
