You Are Stronger Than You Think You Are

"You are braver than you believe and stronger than you seem and smarter than you think." (Christopher Robbin) We must remember that we are strong. And we must know that hard things are strengthening opportunities to help us do things beyond what we have already mastered in order to help us grow--

WHERE MUCH IS REQUIRED, MUCH IS GIVEN

Remember, at the very moment that we say, "I cannot handle this." The Lord replies, "You are not supposed to--I will help you bear ALL things." It is in these moments that we see who we truly are and what we are capable of. Yet, even in these trying times, we are always given a choice: OUR ATTITUDE. We must fight to be positive every day!

W
e must be the change we wish to see in the world. It is US the Lord is relying on. Let us begin NOW. Remember, YOU have been brought to this moment because YOU have done this before.

In order to help uplift and encourage others we must make time to nourish ourselves. Our bodies were a gift given to us and I wish to repay this gift by helping others--but we cannot do this when we are so tired, stressed, overstretched, hurried, rushed and busy. Do we realize stress will literally kill us?

"Here lies Ashley, a human doing. She got a lot done!"

Let us forget some of our endless "TO DO's" and get back to the basics...not just surviving, but THRIVING in the process:
  • Leave 10 minutes earlier than you normally would to get to places (I have found this to be a huge help in reducing stress and anxiety and has given me more time to read/meditate and reflect)
  • Life SPA (Special Positive Activity), which is quite time set aside to read, walk, meditate, color, cook, listen to uplifting, beautiful music, go on a daily prayer walk, or to enjoy nature.
  • 8 hours of sleep (Early to bed, early to rise! )
  • Drink plenty of water
  • Eat foods that will give you GOOD energy
  • Get moving (find a fun activity you enjoy doing...and make time for it!
As I have incorporated these things into my life I have felt my life purpose and mission in life told to me as I have been nourishing my mind and soul. As we turn ourselves off from the world for a moment and focus inward--the peace and comfort that fills life is so reassuring. Your path will become clearer as you commit to a more healthy, happy, productive you. And by setting aside these quite moments you will discover your time expanded and your life vision clear!
