"We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul--We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things." (Article of Faith, 13)
After our reunion this past week, I have been recommitted to my goals and have been re-evaluating my priorities and wanted to remember what is most important to me in life.
These are the things that stuck out most importantly to me through my experiences within the past two years:
- Living in gratitude daily--by seeing the good in everyday experiences I am able to experience true and lasting joy. I feel closest to those who mean the very most to me and have an inherent desire to reach out and help them. I am able to better sense the needs of others, which makes me feel of the deepest kind of strength.
- Constantly building and maintaining meaningful relationships and always serving others creates the most powerful change in myself and redirects my thoughts, which create the greatest meaning and purpose in my life. This is a cure-all. It removes all envy, jealousy, sadness, hurt, anxiety, loneliness, and feelings of inadequacy.
- Sharing my thoughts and ideas with my selfless and loving husband and family unleashes my greatest passions and helps me believe in the impossible.
- Continually learning and growing creates everlasting excitement and happiness. I can never be bored when there is so much I can do to better myself so that I may help others around me.
- Self-Mastery is a powerful investment. I can do anything I set my mind to. Once we learn how to master ourselves and tame our natural tendencies we become so invigorated and empowered with greater strength than we will ever know.
Passion. Enthusiasm. Courage. Synergy. Love. Action.
