Peter and I were excited to experience, the notorous "Fiddler on the Roof" for the first time together this past weekend.
Growing up, I had only seen the scene where the old man is dancing, throwing his fists, and singing: "If I were a Rich Man!" at my friend Mandy's house. I can remember I hadn't been too interested in it. Mandy and I were too distracted by the old man's silly dancing I think. We just giggled away!
I must have more grown-up taste now, because Peter and I absolutely loved it. It amazes me how detailed and entertaining plays are. I felt like we were in a whole different era--where people show up in their buggies dressed up fancy to go to the latest show. I am so glad there is still some "old-fashioned" entertainment to enjoy. It was nice not worrying so much about time and other commitments.
Thank you for such a wonderful Christmas present Sar and Pres! We have been singing, "Tradition" ALL week long!
Afterwards, we enjoyed GIANT burritos from Chipotle for the first time--For FREE--since they were celebrating the 100th birthday of scouts.
What a perfect ending to the perfect date!
