We celebrated Dad's 70th birthday last weekend. What a day to remember! Mom had the clever idea to compile a book of gratitude letters for Dad on this joyous day.
We enjoyed Mom's homemade macaroni as the grandkids stared wide-eyed in eager anticipation for grandma's famous white mountain frosting with angel's food-cake. Dessert couldn't come fast enough!
It was particularly fun for me to watch the events of the day, as Peter's Dad shared a beautifully unique tradition of his.
Every year on his birthday(or Father's Day), Dad would always give a small gift to each of the children and he would write a sweet letter to his dear wife reminding them of his love for them.
Today, was no exception. However, this time the daughter-in-laws' and grandchildren were also part of Dad's special day.
I learned this day, what my greatest treasure will always be--my FAMILY. It is in these beautiful blessings that our greatest treasure lies.
