How very grateful I am for this wonderful time of year! These are a few of my favorite things:
1. I love the smells of cinnamon, gingerbread baking, and the crisp winter air.
2. Drinking hot wassail while listening to healing Christmas piano by Paul Cardall and reading the "The Christmas Sweater" with Peter.
3. A great lesson learned in gratitude and humility for the great blessings that I have while witnessing hundreds of hard working mom's gathering their Christmas in little black bags as tears of gratitude spoke in their twinkling eyes.
4. Seeing the bounteous boxes and bags filling every corner of the Ronald Macdonald House as "Santa's Little Helpers" worked tirelessly away...wrapping, singing, joyfully all day!
5. Baking Christmas cakes, cookies, and brownies for terminally ill children and their families who wouldn't be home for Christmas this year. Including one tiny little miracle child who was born weighing exactly one pound.
6. Making Christmas Cards in September and singing, "Merry Christmas, Baby! Sure do treat me N-I-C-E!!!"
7. Seeing the Christmas Spirit in the eyes of a child as we decorated Christmas Tree brownies and painted our fingernails in holiday cheer.
8. Celebrating a dear, sweet friendship and exchanging lasting hugs. A thoughtful friend to share my goals and dreams with...a dear sister in my mind.
9. Walking around Temple Square with my sweet Love as he whispered in my ear. Remembering the sacred Spirit we felt on our wedding day as he onto me tightly. The very person who makes me feel like a Princess, a daughter of a Heavenly King. Who loves every piece of me...even the crabby patty and the stressed out one!
10. Spending time with family and friends as we share our hearts and our homes and celebrate the birth of our Savior and King.
I love your pictures. I can't believe how old Sara and Preston are! You and Peter are so cute. Hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
