Celebrate Leadership!

Mom and I spent a wonderful and knowledge filled weekend at the Red Lion Hotel where we were able to "Celebrate Leadership" as we enjoyed our first Toastmasters Fall Conference along with 60 of soon-to-be closest friends.

What a wonderful event to stretch my social skills! I was taught the importance of networking and learned some of the ropes to a Toastmaster's life while attending.

We had a ball learning from our fellow Toastmaster friends and had educational classes filling up the majority of our days. Our brains were filled with loads of amazing information!

In trying to think what to share, I loved this quote given by the Governor, Dave Manning, in which he stated:

"In order to progress there must be change."

This was a very simple message, but one that holds great value and ACTION. We all wish to progress in this life. We all want to better ourselves. But there is always that one fear that stands in our way. In my case, the fear of failing. In which fear, I have become so paralyzed that I even let this obstacle take me away from my wildest dreams and greatest desires. By inviting this fear in, some of my sincerest goals are vanishing from me.

I cannot let one more moment pass by that I wished I would have done something differently. My time is NOW, whether I am ready or not. And someone is waiting for me to respond. No more holding back with false perceptions and filling myself with lies. I can do anything. So, I might as well try!

I DARE TO PLAY BIGGER THAN I THINK I CAN.
