A Talk To Remember...

Yesterday in church I gave my third talk. What a relief it is to have that done! One thing I learned was how important it is for me to practice, practice, practice! That was the least nervous I have been actually presenting myself in front of an entire congregation (with the ENTIRE place filled--even the overflow!)

After much worry and fret--I had finally figured out my topic and had written out what I wished to speak about after four days of writer's block. Then Thursday through Sunday morning I had practiced at least 10 times--in front of Peter, my mirror, inside my car, sitting in the park, and before I went to bed. And yes, I did do this out loud (with music playing in the background so that my landlord wouldn't think I was crazy talking to myself)!

This helped me so much in personalizing my talk so that the message I wished to portray came out. What a comfort it was knowing that I had done all that I could...and the Lord blessed me with the rest!

I CAN do hard things!
