A Favorite Summer Holiday

Ma and I L-OV-E going to the forth of July parade together. I don't really know what started this crazy tradition, but we have done it together for years...we wake up at 5 a.m. so that we can save good seats at the starting place (near Pep Boys) so that we catch all of the paraders when they are awake and eager for the festivities.

We typically bring some sort of tasty breakfast, which was Riches Asiago Cheese Bagels this year as we sat on blankets praying that our bums wouldn't be wet from the remaining dew on the lawn and talk about all of our favorite things and recent happenings in our crazy lives.

What a fun way to spend the morning! Practicing our parade waves and hollering "YOU-WHO" to try to get free prizes thrown our way!

Peter had to work unfortunately, so by the time he got home, I only made it through an episode of the Merlin series before I was ready to turn in for the night--even before the fireworks! I will have to make it past ten o'clock on the twenty fourth if I want to make up for the ones lost on the fourth!
