Remember to Praise Yourself for the Good You Do

For all of you have ever felt as if you have had to be perfect, to put on a "face" so as to "fit in". Who have ever felt so alone and have even questioned your existence...I would ask you to remember that you are talented at something, and no one else has the same unique life mission as you. You may be a powerful speaker, a talented musician, a great listener, or a wonderful friend. There is no gift that is assumed better than another. We each have our given gifts and those can never disappear. No matter how bad we messed things up, how poor our grades are, or how much we wish we could do better and be like So-and-So. As long as we are striving to become better and trying to do our best that is when we receive the greatest blessings. Do not bombard yourself with negative thoughts, ideas, and images. These will only destroy the amazing person you are. Keep reminding yourself of the little things you are doing right and all of the many blessings you have to enjoy--this is where true joy comes from! Remember you are a child of our Heavenly Father who loves you and you have a unique gift to share with the world just by being you! So stand tall and be proud of how far you have come and for the miraculous person you are becoming!

Philippians 4: 6-8:

"Be careful for nothing (do not have negative/anxious thoughts); but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God. And peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure. whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any praise, think on these things."
