ANY Question Can Be Answered

In my New Testament class we are studying 1 Corinthians 7. I found this chapter particularly interesting since it talks a lot about questions we often have through the dating phase of life--what is appropriate before marriage, etc. I am mostly writing these passages to remind myself of good parenting tips for the future, so my kids can look back at this journal and hopefully get a few laughs and maybe even some good advice. :)

There is also an excellent talk by Gordon B. Hinckley entitled, "Be Worthy of the Woman You Will Someday Marry" (but I think this article applies to women just as much!) As for the advice for this one, there is no gray area when it comes to purity and virtuous thoughts/actions.

I think if you go by your better judgment (and not always your wise judgment) you will be led in a way that will keep you safe and strong against the advisary. I can promise you will feel--in any situation--if it is time to leave a particular setting or think more positive thoughts. You will begin to feel very unsettled inside. You will experience the greatest joy and blessings by following what your heart is telling you. And will gain much greater self respect and self worth.
